Actual and Factual
Let's start with the facts straight from their website!
Truboo is a DK (#3 or light) weight yarn made of 100% rayon from bamboo. This yarn is eco-friendly, soft, and breathable.
The standard or classic Truboo is currently available in 32 colors. Each skein is 241yd/220m in length and 3.5oz/100g in weight. The suggested hooks and needles size is 4mm.
Variation
There is a variation called Truboo Sparkle. The same eco-friendly, soft, and breathable yarn with a little razzle-dazzle added to it. According to their website, it is available in 9 colors however, only 4 swatches are shown at the time of this post.
Truboo Sparkle is 96% rayon and 4% polyester. Each skein is 196yd/178m in length and 3oz/85g in weight. The suggested hooks and needles size is 4mm.
My Experience
This yarn is silky and full of sheen! It glides easily on both aluminum and resin hooks. Due to its light texture, finished products have amazing drape. On occasion though, you may find yourself splitting the yarn as its construction is 16 individual threads plied together.
My Favorite Projects for This Yarn
I love this yarn for warm-weather clothes, lightweight shawls, and scrunchies. The smooth texture minimizes friction on curly-haired folks. Due to the rayon-bamboo construction, garments stay cool to the touch.
